Cherise Benson

Meet Cherise Benson

Counselor, LMHCA

Cherise is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who holds a Masters of Counseling from Denver Seminary with a focus on perinatal mental health. Her counseling approach is warm and personal, drawing primarily from Client-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral therapies. Throughout her career in a variety of nonprofit settings, Cherise has worked with parents who were navigating substance use, the legal system as well as co-parenting and custody arrangements. Her recent training includes a focus on supporting clients as they navigate the profound transition to motherhood.

Cherise understands the challenges posed by conflicting parenting advice, cultural expectations, and competing family needs and will create a compassionate space to work toward each client’s personal healing and goals of this life stage.

Cherise grew up in Arizona and spent five years traveling as a military spouse before settling down in Duvall, WA. She enjoys nerdy board games with her husband, reading and drawing with her three kids, and treats and Netflix after bedtime.

A Note from Cherise:

I am here to come alongside you and provide compassionate support as you navigate your parenting journey. I seek to create a warm, safe space for you to explore your needs, strengths, challenges, and hopes for motherhood.
