Cherise Benson

Meet Cherise Benson

Counselor, LMHCA

Cherise is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate who holds a Masters of Counseling from Denver Seminary with advanced training in perinatal mental health. Her counseling approach is warm and personal, drawing primarily from client-centered, cognitive behavioral, and existential therapies. Cherise has experience providing support to mothers healing from loss, traumatic births and NICU experiences, and difficult co-parenting relationships. She is passionate about supporting clients as they navigate the profound transition to motherhood.

Cherise understands the challenges posed by conflicting parenting advice, cultural expectations, and competing family needs and will create a compassionate space to work toward each client’s personal healing and goals of this life stage.

Cherise grew up in Arizona and spent five years traveling as a military spouse before settling down in Duvall, WA. She enjoys nerdy board games with her husband, reading and drawing with her three kids, and treats and Netflix after bedtime.

A Note from Cherise:

I am here to come alongside you and provide compassionate support as you navigate your parenting journey. I seek to create a warm, safe space for you to explore your needs, strengths, challenges, and hopes for motherhood.
