Meet Payton Balph
CMHC Intern
Payton is a graduate counseling intern at Mobile Mama and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University. She has completed specialized training in perinatal mental health and is working toward her certificate in this field. Payton approaches her work with a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens, honoring the unique experiences each client brings.
Payton’s personal journey through reproduction has profoundly shaped her commitment to this field. She understands that pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting can bring immense joy and love alongside unexpected challenges and moments of deep vulnerability. These experiences fuel her dedication to supporting others through this significant and tender life transition.
In her clinical practice, Payton combines evidence-based techniques with a warm, collaborative style to create a safe space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. Outside of her work, Payton enjoys spending quality time with her family, taking long walks while getting lost in an audiobook, and staying active through Barre3 workouts.
