Meet Rachel Jones

Counselor - MA, LMHCA

With a deep understanding that motherhood can bring about unique and unexpected challenges, Rachel is committed to honoring the individual journeys of her clients. Integrating human-centered, cognitive behavioral, and other modalities, she believes in the power of a proactive stance for improved mental health while also creating space for deeper healing.

In addition to a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands, Rachel has also completed advanced training across areas of perinatal mental health. She readily models attuned empathy, attentive listening, and positive regard while helping mothers to navigate life changes, understand new identities, and process trauma and loss. Rachel’s clients appreciate her direct approach, sense of humor, and comfort in challenging ideas.

Rachel is a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest and has made Bellingham home for more than a decade. Outside of Mobile Mama, she makes the most of her days cooking and baking with her kids, taking long dog walks with her partner, and trying her hand at ceramics.

A Note from Rachel:

Motherhood is life changing, in both expected and unexpected ways. Utilizing a human-centered approach and a feminist lens, I hold space for clients to share their experiences in the journey of becoming and being a mother.

I am humbled by walking alongside clients as they develop tools for discovering a sense of self, improving mindfulness, and processing grief and trauma.
