Meet Michelle Anderson

Founder, MA, LMHC, PMH-C, Certified Clinical Supervisor

Michelle Anderson, LMHC, PMH-C is a perinatal mental health specialist, clinical supervisor, and the founder of Mobile Mama in Bellingham, WA. With more than 15 years of experience, she offers in-person and telehealth counseling from conception through motherhood.

Michelle has supported hundreds of clients through the transition to motherhood with grace, creativity, and warmth. Using a client-centered, somatic, and humanistic approach, she integrates her training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the perinatal period, Mindfulness, Lifespan Integration (Level 3), Internal Family Systems, Motivational Interviewing, Attachment Theory, and Polyvagal Theory, meeting each client exactly where they are. She helps mothers navigate new roles, relationships, and identities, supporting a wide spectrum of perinatal experiences—including Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs), OCD, postpartum psychosis, grief and loss, trauma, and the many challenges of the often wild journey of motherhood.

Michelle is the creator of Mobile Mama Methods, practical tools for perinatal assessment and support, and she designed the Mobile Mama Perinatal Mental Health Clinical Counseling Internship Program. She also consults and trains therapists and birth providers across the country in advanced perinatal mental health topics.

Outside of her work, Michelle enjoys gardening, hiking, and spending time with her family and their sweet dog, Sparks.

A Note from Michelle:

Navigating the tender terrain of motherhood takes both courage and vulnerability—reaching out for support does, too. If you are experiencing a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder (PMAD), coping with pregnancy or child loss, or simply finding your way through the clunky transition of motherhood, please know you are in good company.

We are here to listen, to truly hear your story, and to walk with you as you develop tools and insights that support a more gentle transition. Welcome—I am so pleased that you are here and reaching out.
