Meet Sarah Birch

Mobile Mama Counselor, MEd, MS, LMHCA

In Sarah’s practice she values relationship and transparency, embracing Feminist Theory. This is an orientation that prioritizes collaboration between practitioner and client while demystifying the process of therapy. Sarah partners with clients to decide together where to go and will happily answer questions you have regarding the work together. Sarah also finds Lifespan Integration, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (parts work), to be helpful tools. Most importantly, Sarah trusts your intuitive knowledge of yourself, your healing path, and your goals.

Sarah’s educational background includes a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Washington University; a Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology from the Harvard Graduate School of Education; and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from Western Washington University. Professionally, she has a decade’s long history of working as a social worker in our community with mothers, families, and youth. In her personal time, Sarah and her family enjoy biking around town, hiking in the arboretum, and visiting local bookstores. She is an avid reader and a big fan of podcasts. She also enjoys baking (mostly banana bread and chocolate chip cookies).

A Note from Sarah:

You are not alone. Transition to motherhood, in whatever form and with whatever complexity your story brings, is nothing short of monumental. I believe that healing and growth are always possible; and I see my role as bolstering the innate healing capacity within clients. Together we will work to find a path forward towards your goals. In my work I prioritize the quality of the therapeutic relationship and tailor my approach to meet individual needs; commonly drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems (parts work), and Lifespan Integration.
