Meet Rachel Jones

CMHC, Intern

With an innate passion for the helping field, Rachel is transitioning to a counseling role after years of supporting clients in career services. She is completing a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands and previously earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from Washington State University.

Rachel is deeply understanding of the experiences unique to motherhood and is committed to honoring the specific journeys of her clients. Integrating humanistic, feminist, and cognitive behavioral modalities, she believes in the power of a proactive stance for improved mental health and overall wellbeing. She continues to receive training in perinatal mental health and is eager to serve as a source of support and understanding while helping mothers navigate life changes and challenges.

Rachel is a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest and has called Bellingham “home” for more than a decade. Outside of Mobile Mama, she makes the most of her days cooking and baking with her kids, taking long dog walks in her neighborhood, and trying her hand at ceramics.

A Note from Rachel:

Motherhood is life changing, in both expected and unexpected ways. Utilizing a human-centered approach and a feminist lens, I hold space for clients to share their experiences in the journey of becoming and being a mother.

I am humbled by walking alongside clients as they develop tools for discovering a sense of self, improving mindfulness, and processing grief and trauma.
