Meet Maya Caldwell Eleazer
Counselor, MA, LMHCA
Maya has worked as a birth, postpartum, and grief doula for the past two decades. During this time she supported individuals and families as they navigated both difficult and joyful life events. As a recent graduate from Pacifica Graduate Institute with a degree in Counseling Psychology, Maya is expanding her skill set to offer perinatal counseling, as she is aware of the great need for support and guidance during these significant times in one’s life.
Maya is trained in a depth-psychological approach which combines analytic and psychoanalytic perspectives with humanistic, cognitive, and attachment theories. She believes everyone is on their own individual path, and that her role as a psychotherapist is to assist her clients on their journeys of becoming more fully themselves, creating deeper connection and meaning in their relationships and the world around them.
Maya approaches symptoms non-pathologically, and views them as communicating an unmet need. She describes her interpersonal style as warm, relational, encouraging and supportive.
Maya lives in East Snohomish County with her spouse, and occasionally one or both of her two young adult children. In her spare time she enjoys being with family and friends, spending time in nature, cooking, reading, traveling, exercising, and swimming outdoors.
